David Cosma is no stranger to the “flatbed truck stage" here at Shiraz Republic and together with long time musical partner Nick Carrafa, the two return for another performance on December 14th! The beautiful and unique surroundings of The Shiraz Republic, make for a brilliant and unique afternoon of live music. The drinks and food on offer are incredible too, it's what the SR is famous for!

Inspiring lyrics accompanied by sumptuous melodies and harmonies, together with his unique method of playing the guitar (upside down aka south paw), guarantees an impassioned live performance. Sonically, his music is rich and luminous and boasts a world class production quality that is often overlooked in the world of independent artists, but it is lyrically where Cosma stands apart, with a knack for examining commonplace and even trite circumstance and then magnifies their significance with a wry and at times ironic tone. Religion, pop culture and nostalgic nuances, punctuate and ultimately, accentuate his writing, triggering instant attention from audience and listeners.
David has toured with, supported and performed alongside artists including Mark Seymour, Brian Cadd & Russell Morris, Pete Murray and Jeff Martin to name some.
He has also co-written and fronts the critically acclaimed theatre show "Sun Rising- The Birthplace of Rock and Roll" for over a decade.
Recently, David travelled to Memphis Tennessee where he recorded music at the world famous Sun Studios, which will appear on his upcoming album due for release soon!
