OCEANIQUE
Originally from regional Western Australia, now based in Naarm/Melbourne, twin sisters Maddy and Jess of Oceanique create music that blends heartfelt storytelling with seamless harmonies. The duo’s sound draws comparisons to the sibling harmonies of First Aid Kit and The Staves, combining folk traditions with warm, reflective melodies reminiscent of the vast country sky.
Since their debut in 2019, Oceanique has become a rising act in the Australian folk music scene. Highlights include winning Port Fairy Folk Festival’s ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’ (2024) and Folk Alliance Australia’s ‘Youth Artist of the Year’ (2022). Their captivating live performances have graced renowned festivals such as the National Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, and Port Fairy Folk Festival as well as supporting celebrated artists, including The Waifs at Geelong Arts Centre.

The Shiraz Republic is a multi-award-winning cellar door, winery, brewery and perfect day out! Less than 2 hours from Melbourne in the heart of the Heathcote Wine Region on the ancient red volcanic soils of the Mt Camel range, traditional lands of the Ngurai-illum Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
“The Shiraz Republic stage is built on the back of two old trucks (using a truck bed as the base) nestled between our cellar door and vineyard. Our stage is outdoors and in the event of a wet forecast we will move the event to our indoor stage. In colder weather we generally continue with events outside and have firepits and gas heaters going”.
