Picking time has arrived. We picked 2 tonnes last Thursday (22/2/24) at a low Baume for Rose and some Sparkling Shiraz.

We will start picking in earnest from thus Thursday 29th Feb. The season should run for 3 or 4 weeks, but the grapes are ripening quickly.

Tested a patch today (26/2/24) which were 14.4 BeĀ  (25.8 Brix) and 3.67 pH Other rows running around 13.3 Be last Friday.

But the grapes look great.

So depends a bit on which block of grapes we are talking about, but we plan to start with the ripest and keep picking as fast as we can!
