2024 was an enormous year for young Country Artist Hayden Phillis who alongside his emerging career, captained his High School, completed his HSC (including being awarded a NSW Music Encore nomination!), recorded a 7 track EP and then released his debut song ‘Broken Angel’ on the very day of his final exam!
Things don’t look like slowing down either. The recent announcement of the 2025 CMAA Academy of Country Music Senior cohort includes Hayden, who turns 18 in December, and then heads to Tamworth in January where he will become a three-time Academy Graduate.
Hayden delivers authentic and emotive Australian stories in a gritty Alt-Country or Americana style. Debut track, Broken Angel, was co-written with the highly awarded Jen Mize at the DAG Sheep Station Autumn 2024 Songwriter retreat and recorded at Rabbit Hole Recording Studios (Kasey Chambers and Brandon Dodd) as one of seven tracks appearing on Hayden’s forthcoming EP, “Too Young”. Subsequent releases are scheduled for early 2025 with the full EP due for release later in 2025.
Don’t miss this rapidly emerging 18-year-old who already has the background and support of collaborating with some of Australia’s finest and most recognised Country Musicians and Songwriters.
