At The Shiraz Republic, we’ve always marched to the beat of our own drum. While our name celebrates the grape that put Heathcote on the map, our heart has always been about the "Republic"—a diverse community of farmers, makers, and wine lovers.
Today, we are thrilled to pull back the curtain on a project that's been in the making: a complete visual refresh of our Democracy range.
When we sat down to rethink the artwork for our emerging varietals, we wanted something that captured the energy of the vineyard. After a massive bottling run—moving 30 pallets of wine through the line—it’s safe to say the "revolution" is officially in full swing.
Designed in collaboration with our very own winemaker—artist—sound engineer—jack-of-all-trades, Iain, the new labels draw direct inspiration from 1960s revolutionary poster art.
Why the "Revolution"? Because the landscape of Heathcote is changing. While Shiraz remains king, there is a rebellion happening in the soil. We are looking beyond tradition to embrace Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese varietals that are perfectly suited to our changing climate and terroir.
The new artwork features a bold, hand-printed aesthetic with vibrant color palettes that distinguish each varietal while maintaining a unified "movement."

These wines represent the emerging varietals we planted at our vineyard in 2023, as well as fruit we’ve sourced from our trusted neighbours over the years. By giving these wines a bold new identity, we’re inviting you to join Shiraz Republic and explore everything the Heathcote region has to offer.
The bottles are labelled, the pallets are stacked, and the revolution is ready to be poured!
