First the good news.

SHIRAZ: We still have Shiraz grapes and with the slow ripening we will be picking through till Easter (and probably after).The grapes are still ripening and we are currently picking a block that is 14.3 tp 14.7 Baume. We expect that other blocks which are currently mid-13s will continue to ripen as the season progresses.

OTHER VARIETIES: For those who have ordered Grenache, Fiano, or Sangiovese; these will be ready for collection next week. We still have limited amounts of Grenache available for order.

The Bad News

We had an amazing storm cell dump 14mm of rain on us last evening (which is why I finally have time to sit and update this blog). So no picking today. I don't expect that it will throw the Baume out as the ground already has a solid moisture profile following the 95mm we received a couple of weeks ago. We will start picking again tomorrow (Friday); all being well.
