Price range: $23 through $195
Our entry-tier Shiraz and the most-poured wine at the cellar door. Named for the Sunshine Harvester, invented just up the road in Elmore and sold around the world. It's a wine built in the same spirit: reliable, generous, made for the end of a long day.
The 2024 is full-bodied and smooth, with dark fruit, soft tannins, and a finish that's been rounded out by time in French and American oak. Drinks well from the moment you open it, but won't complain if you hang onto it a few years.
Fruit comes off Tuohey's Vineyard, our mates' block on top of the Mt Camel Range. Thirty-year-old vines on Heathcote's most distinctive ridge, the kind of fruit that makes an entry-tier wine punch well above its price.
